Parkside celebrates safety milestone

ORIGINALLY WRITTEN
Employees at Parkside Homes Inc., Hillsboro, celebrated 350,000 hours of work without an injury causing lost work time. Residents, staff and board members were invited to a free lunch of Quiznos sandwiches on Friday that was served in the Oscar Hett Fellowship Center. After lunch, prizes were distributed to employees. Brenda Moffitt and Laura Kirby from McPherson presented a program to staff called “Let’s Go Fishing,” based on the book “Fish.” Nurse aides who completed the CNA-Plus class were awarded new name badges, and the employee tenure awards were presented. The event was planned by the home’s Safety Committee: Glenn Thiessen, Jo Allen, Shirley Hein, Susie Kliewer and Lu Janzen.
