Goering, Kruse celebrate marriage

Ruby Joy Goering and Jason Dwight Kruse were married Jan. 5 at Ebenfeld Mennonite Brethren Church in Hillsboro with pastors Steve Moler and David Goering officiating the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Charles and Annora Goering of rural Marion. The groom is the son of Dwight and Jerrie Kruse, also of rural Marion.

Grandparents are Mrs. Karl Busenitz of rural Newton and Mrs. Jacob Goering of Moundridge.

Maid of honor was Annie Klassen, sister of the bride. Best man was Alan Kruse, brother of the groom.

Bridesmaids were Amy Goering, sister of the bride, and Stephanie Clements and Carla Hall, both friends of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Kathleen Goering, sister of the bride.

Groomsmen were Justin Groening and Ray Helmer, both of rural Marion, and Nathan Hoffman of Oklahoma. Ring bearer was Nathaniel Klassen, nephew of the bride.

Ushers were Aaron Helmer of rural Marion, Heath Klassen, brother-in-law of the bride, D.J. Ehlers and Kelly Bernhardt, both of Marion.

Candlelighters were Joseph Goering and John Goering, brothers of the bride.

Musicians were vocalists Brenda Jordan and Glen Litke. Jordan also played the organ and piano.

Wedding coordinator was Kerry Stepanek.

The bride wore a white satin gown with a Princess Anne neckline and long lace sleeves.The lace sleeves and raised bodice were beaded with sequins and pearls. The A-line gown was floor-length with a cathedral-length train adorned with lace appliques, sequins and pearls. The elbow-length veil was also beaded with sequins and pearls.

The reception was held in the church fellowship hall following the ceremony and coordinated by Sherry Jost and the bride’s aunts and uncles. Hosts were Virgil and Phyllis Litke, Art and Harriet Suderman and Paul and Elda Suderman, all of rural Hillsboro.

Guest book attendants were Pamala Kruse, sister of the groom, and Heidi Bohrer, cousin of the bride.

Gift attendants were Lexie and Trevor Kruse, niece and nephew of the groom, and Julia Seibel and Jed Busenitz, cousins of the bride. Gift supervisor was Rebecca Goering.

The bride is employed at Carlson’s IGA. The groom, a farmer, is employed by Flaming’s Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning.

The rehearsal dinner was held on Jan. 4 at Ebenfeld Mennonite Brethren Church and hosted by Dwight and Jerri Kruse.

Following a honeymoon in Estes Park, Colo., the couple resides in Marion.
