Josh Sears, a junior at Southwestern College in Winfield, has joined the staff of the Hillsboro United Methodist Church as its part-time youth director.
In 1999, Sears graduated from Mulvane High School, where he participated in sports and instrumental music. At Southwestern, he is majoring in mass communication and film and minoring in phiolosophy and religious studies.
His wife of nine months, Jill, is a native of Kansas City, Mo., and is pursuing a license of cosmetology at Xenon International School of Hair in Wichita.
“We are both very excited to be involved with the community and with the wonderful congregation at Hillsboro United Methodist Church, Josh Sears said. “We both feel our prayers were answered when I ran across this position, and we are looking forward to getting to work with the youth at HUMC and getting to know the members of the church and community.”
