38 Special to play at Marion’s Chingawassa Days

A musical performance by the rock band 38 Special will highlight Marion’s Chingawassa Days Festival Saturday, June 1, in Central Park.

The band has earned platinum records and been heard on the radio and in live concerts throughout the year. They’re known for such hits as “Hold on Loosely,” “Rockin’ Into the Night” and “Second Chance.”

Chingawassa Days begins May 31 and extends through June 2. Admission to the festival events is with the purchase of a button that will be available beginning April 1 at participating businesses in Marion.

Basic round buttons, which do not include the concert, are $7 in advance and $10 beginning May 25. Concert square buttons, which include all activities, are $20 in advance and $25 beginning May 25. Children 10 and under are admitted free of charge. For 20 or more buttons purchased at one time, there is a $2 discount.
