ORIGINALLY WRITTEN
Cara Marrs has been appointed director of admissions at Tabor College, according to president Larry Nikkel.

Marrs, a 1996 graduate of Tabor College, most recently served as coordinator of recruitment activities at Tabor. She also filled the role of director of public relations from 2000 to 2001.

Marrs’ new responsibilities will include supervising all admissions counselors, the campus-visit coordinator and the administrative assistant within the Offices for Enrollment Management.

In addition, she will represent Tabor at professional organizations. She will work directly with Advantage Marketing, the management and marketing firm hired to provide overall direction and management in determining goals and strategies for recruiting students.

“I am pleased that Cara has accepted this position,” Nikkel said. “Her experience in the for-profit sector, as well as public relations and admissions, gives her the experience to help her be effective in this role.

“I believe her knowledge of the Hillsboro community, her commitment to Tabor College and her administrative skills will help us achieve our goals for student recruiting.”

Marrs began her responsibilities March 1.
