No health fair in 2002, hospitals say

ORIGINALLY WRITTEN
St. Luke Hospital of Marion and Hillsboro Community Medical Center will not hold a health fair in 2002, the two institutions announced last week.

The next health fair will be held in Hillsboro in spring 2003. The health fair will be held every other year, alternating between towns in the future.

“If you have been using the health fair as a way to have a yearly blood profile, or prostate exam, you need to make alternative arrangements with your physician this year,” a press release from the two hospitals stated.

HCMC and St. Luke labs will perform the tests if ordered by the physician.

Information about the 2003 Marion County Health Fair will be forthcoming in the months closer to the event.

Anyone with questions or suggestions for next year’s health fair should call St. Luke Hospital at 620-382-2177 or HCMC at 620-947-3114.
