Vocal music students under the direction of Dave Clark at Hillsboro High School attended the Mid Central Activities Association League Music Festival on March 5 in Topeka and received high ratings.
The following groups received “I” ratings: Concert Choir, Girls Ensemble Spirit-N-Celebration, Boys Ensemble Spirit-N-Celebration and Spirit-N-Celebration.
The following vocalists received “I” ratings: Heather Stepenek, Jordon Allen, Katy Baltzer, Angie Claassen, Cierra Ediger, Danielle Kelly and Keli Just.
Groups receiving “II” ratings were Freshmen and Sophomore Mixed Ensemble and Girls Ensemble.
Vocalists receiving “II” ratings were the following: Luca Blackburn, Emily Railsback, Emily Smith and Mandy Ratzloff.
“They did a nice job, and I’m very proud of them,” Clark said.
