Another Soft signs with Tabor Jays

ORIGINALLY WRITTEN
Maize High School senior Micki Jeanne Soft signed a letter of intent Wednesday to play basketball at Tabor College.

Soft, a 5-10, 155-pound power forward, was an All-Chisholm Trail player in 2000-01. A knee injury kept her out of the 2002 season.

“She is working hard to rehab and should be full strength by this summer,” said Tabor coach Rusty Allen.

Soft will be a good addition to the Bluejay team, he added.

“Micki is a strong player, who passes and rebounds very well,” Allen said. “She shoots well from medium range and inside. We are excited to have her join our program.”

Off the court, Soft has been recognized on the MHS Honor Roll for the past four years. Her sister, Casey Soft, who played this season at Hutchinson Community College, signed a letter to play basketball for Tabor a couple of months ago.
