Phillips, Morgan lead Warriors past Hutch Trinity boys

Tommy Phillips and Steven Morgan combined for 33 points to help lead Peabody-Burns to a 61-53 win over Hutchinson Trinity Friday night at home.

The Warriors jumped out early with a 25-12 lead in the first quarter.

Peabody and Trinity battled neck-and-neck in the second and at halftime Peabody led by 14 points.

The Warriors continued their dominance in the final two quarters and walked away with a 14-point win.

Phillips led all scorers with 17 points, nine coming in the first half.

Morgan added 16 points in the Warrior win.
