Amstutz, Voth celebrate marriage

Laura Marie Amstutz and Matthew David Voth were married Dec. 29 at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church in rural Goessel, with pastor James Dunn officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Diane and Elliott Amstutz of LaJunta, Colo. The groom is the son of Linda and David Voth of Derby.

Maid of honor was Valerie Amstutz. Best man was Ryan Grant.

Bridesmaids were Yvette Peters and Letha Buller. Groomsmen were Dan Billman and Brian Amstutz.

Ushers were Chelan Duerksen, Aaron Voth and Dale Coons.

Gift carriers were Katie Anderson and Vanessa Snyder.

Musicians were Dave Anderson on the hammered dulcimer and Jason Peters on piano.

The bride’s two-piece strapless dress was accented with sequins and had an attached train. She carried a bouquet of wildflowers.

The church was decorated with Christmas greenery accented with bows, white twinkle lights and three shades of blue-violet silk flowers.

The reception was at the fellowship hall at the church. Hosts were Barb and Russ Graber, and reception assistants were Krista Abrahams, Kara Dixon, Stacey Goering and Brooke Fischer.

The bride is a graduate of LaJunta High School and is a senior majoring in biology at Bethel College in Newton.

The groom is a graduate of Derby High School. He is a self-employed farmer and herdsman at Sterk Dairy.

The rehearsal dinner was held on Dec. 28 at the Breadbasket in Newton.

Following a honeymoon in San Antonio, Texas, the couple resides in rural Goessel.
