For the past couple of games, Rachelle Speers has been struggling shooting the ball.

Thursday night Speers broke out of her shooting slump in a big way, dropping a career-high 30 points on Bethel College for an 80-50 win.

Speers was 8-for-11 from the field, 13-for-15 from the free throw line and 1-for-1 from behind the arc.

The Jays took a 37-28 lead into the locker room before putting the hurt on the Threshers in the final half.

Tabor’s Angela Kroeker turned in another solid game with 16 points, nine rebounds and five steals. Becky Jons added her second-straight double-double performance with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

The Bluejay defense helped to force 21 Bethel turnovers and no Threshers reached double figures in scoring.

Tabor hosts Saint Mary College Saturday night to wrap up regular season play. Tip-off is scheduled for 5 p.m.
