Tabor takes two from Bethel

The Tabor College women’s basketball team held on to an early first-quarter lead to beat the Bethel Threshers Saturday night 54-45.



The Bluejays took a nine point lead into the locker room at half and played strong in the second, to extend their record to 4-4 in the KCAC and 8-10 overall.



Rachelle Speers knocked home 20 points and Angela Kroeker had 19 to pace the Bluejay offense.

The Tabor College men jumped out to an early lead and never looked back in a 68-51 win over Bethel College Saturday night at home.



The Bluejays shot 60.5 percent from the field for the game and 57.1 percent from behind the arc.



Ernest Nortey finished with a 15 points and 12 rebounds. Jimmy Janzen added 15 in the Tabor win.



The Bluejays travel to Saint Mary College in Leavenworth Monday night.
