Micheaux to speak at Tabor MLK service

ORIGINALLY WRITTEN
Tabor College’s Martin Luther King Jr. Observance Day assembly will feature Terrance Micheaux, assistant coach at Hesston College and vice president of Mid-America Youth Basketball.

The assembly, to be held in the Chapel-Auditorium at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Jan. 21, will focus on the theme, “There are Ties Between Us.”

Micheaux, a native of Wichita, now lives in Hesston. He will apply the principles of the Martin Luther King Jr. movement to experiences in his own life, which include moving from a predominantly African-American background to a white Anglo-Saxon community. Tabor students will also provide special music and read excerpts from Martin Luther King Jr.’s speeches.

The public is invited to attend.
