Marion’s Krista Zogelman scored 20 points to help lead the Warriors past the Wichita Trinity Knights 55-47 Tuesday night at home.

The Warriors led the entire game, but the Knights continued to threaten throughout the game.

Down the stretch, Marion sunk their freethrows and walked away with their fourth Cottonwood Valley League win and have put together back-to-back wins.

Maggie Powers added 10 points, three coming off of free throws late in the contest.

The Marion boys were able to outlast a pesky Knight team to grab their first home win of the year with a 56-49 win over Wichita Trinity.

In each quarter, the Warriors went on early runs, but the Knights continued to battle back.

In the final minute and a half Wichita Trinity narrowed the margin to as little as four.

But the Warriors took care of the ball late hitting several free throws to ice the win.

Marion’s Brian Bina led the Warriors with 14 points.

The Warriors travel to Wichita Friday night to take on Wichita Independent in a non-league match up.
