Public invited to Main Street meeting

The Main Street program, a strategy for strengthening and revitalizing downtown areas, will be explained in Hillsboro at 11:45 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 11, at city hall.


Jeanne Stinson, state director of the program, will make the presentation. The program is funded through the Kansas Department of Commerce and Housing.


“Several folks in town have expressed a real concern about the downtown area,” said Mayor Delores Dalke. “I would encourage everyone who sees a need to assist out downtown area to attend.”


Box lunches will be available from the Hillsboro Convention and Visitors Bureau for a donation of $5. Orders should be placed by 5 p.m., Monday, Dec. 10, by calling city hall at 947-3162.
