DEATHS: Floyd Winter, 71

Floyd Winter, 71, construction worker, died from a sudden heart attack Nov. 11 at Fairview Hospital in Fairview, Okla.


The funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 15, at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church in Hillsboro with pastor Bruce Porter officiating. Burial will be at Hillsboro M.B. Cemetery in Hillsboro.


He was born Aug. 2, 1930, to Ed P. and Susie Klaassen Winter. He was married to Lillian Ediger, who was deceased in 1992. On May 22, 1993, he was married to Carolyn Neufeld, who survives.


He is also survived by three sons, Rolland Winter of Denver, Colo., Dale Winter of Hillsboro, and Kevin Winter of Sugarland, Texas; one daughter, Denise Winter of Denver, Colo.; two step-sons, Ronald Vogt of Akron, Penn., and Steven Vogt of Wichita; one step-daughter, Kay Vogt of Dallas, Texas; and eight grandchildren.


Memorial funds were established with Mennonite Central Committee, Tabor College and Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church.
