WEDDINGS: Jost, Baker exchange vows

Suzanne Jost and David Baker were married Sept. 1 at Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church, with pastor Corey Miller and pastor Tim Sullivan officiating the double-ring ceremony.


The bride is the daughter of Cal and Tam Jost of Hillsboro. The groom is the son of Jim and Elaine Baker of Hillsboro.


Maid of honor was Jenny Hagen, friend of the couple. Best man was Zac Bartel, friend of the couple.


Bridesmaids were Sarah Coleman, Jessica Ollenburger, Lindsey Penner and Amy Pschigoda, all friends of the couple. Junior bridesmaid was Diya Jost, cousin of the bride. Flower girl was Lauren Schalla, cousin of the bride.


Groomsmen were Mark Symns, Peter Schlegel, Jason Fox and Jared Gingerich, all friends of the couple. Ring bearer was Daniel Funk, cousin of the groom.


Ushers were Matt Jost, Jared Jost and Andrew Jost, brothers of the bride, and Derrick Funk, cousin of the groom.


Gift carriers were Alec Jost and Kurtis Duerksen, cousins of the bride, and Nick Ogden and Robert Funk, cousins of the groom. Guest book attendants were Mike Klein and Audrey Loewen, friends of the couple.


Musicians were guitarists Nate Stucky and the groom, pianist Jason Peters and violinists Glenn Klaassen, Vaughn Klaassen and Mike Klaassen.


The bride wore a two-piece strapless dress. The top was brocade with a satin band. The full satin skirt was white. A long flowing veil was accented with satin edging and pearls.


She carried 20 burgundy long-stemmed calla lilies tied with silver and burgundy ribbon.


Cake, punch, popcorn, mints and ice cream were served at the reception following the wedding ceremony at Parkview Activity Center.


The reception was hosted by Dennis and CleoBeth Friesen, friends of the couple. Reception assistants were Shane and Letha Buller, Tara and Logan Duerksen, Shannon and Carrie Friesen, Lyndl Duerksen, Kyle Funk and Darla Funk.


The bride is a 1999 graduate of Hillsboro High School and attended Kansas University and Emporia State University. She is employed at Baker Brothers Printing.


The groom is a 1997 graduate of Hillsboro High School and a 2001 graduate of Bethel College. He also is employed at Baker Brothers Printing.


The rehearsal dinner, hosted by Jim and Elaine Baker and catered by Tim Unruh and Galin Funk, was held in a tent behind the Scout House.


Following a honeymoon in the Bahamas the couple resides in Hillsboro.
