The Tabor College women’s soccer team took a first step toward the KCAC tournament title Monday with a 6-1 win over Kansas Wesleyan.
The Bluejays scored four goals in the first period and held the Coyotes scoreless until they got on the board late in the second.
“We played pretty good after the first 20 minutes,” coach Hank Wiebe said. “After that, we started passing and playing good soccer. I thought we’d play well, but I never thought that it would be like this.”
Chrissy Previtera scored two goals in the second period to help extend the Jays’ lead and preserve the victory.
A week ago today, the Bluejays defeated Friends University 6-1 and took care of Bethel at home 6-0 on Saturday.
The Bluejays take on Ottawa University today at Ottawa.
