In the first quarter, Marion quarterback Jared Smith and the Warrior offense wasted little time as Smith ran in the first touchdown in the early minutes of the game on an option-keeper around the left end.

Smith struck again on his farewell night as a Warrior, with a touchdown from about three yards out. The Warriors added the two-point conversion and the score was 14-0.

In the second, Jarvis Whiteman scored twice on two huge runs to put the Warriors up at half 28-0.

At the 9:24 mark of the third, Jared Smith busted out again for a Warrior touchdown. Marion lead 34-0.

Minutes later, senior wide receiver Robert Verbic, spinning and breaking tackles, took a Smith pass for another Marion touchdown.

Late in the ball game, Herington would tack on two touchdowns to close the final margin to 41-14.

With the win the Warriors finish their season with a 6-3 record overall and the CVL championship.
