DEATHS: Albert Vogt, 93

Albert Friesen Vogt, a retired superintendent at Pillsbury Mills, died Oct. 8 in Hillsboro.


The funeral was held Oct. 11 at Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church with pastor Tim Sullivan officiating. Burial was at Gnadenau Cemetery in rural Hillsboro.


He was born Aug. 12, 1908, to Gerherd “George” Vogt and Maria (Friesen) Vogt in Moundridge. On Sept. 6, 1931, he was married to Bertha Ann Schafer, who survives.


He also is survived by a daughter, Edith Regier and husband Arnold of Marion; a sister, Eva Baker of Wasco, Calif.; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.


Memorials were established for the Tabor Scholarship Fund at Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church and Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church.
