Andrea Lynn Friesen of Carthage, Mo., and Ryan Stephen Goodroe of Fort Worth, Texas, were married at 4 p.m., July 21, at First Baptist Church in Carthage, Mo., with pastors James Goodroe and Keith Miles officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dexter Joe Friesen of Carthage, Mo. The groom is the son of Rev. and Mrs. James Douglas Goodroe of Spartanburg, S.C.
Grandparents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Harold Epp and Geraldine Friesen, all of Henderson, Neb., and the late Alden G. Friesen.
Grandparents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Milton Nix Sr. of Commerce, Ga., Nina Helms Goodroe of Griffin, Ga., and the late Eulon Douglas Goodroe.
Matron of honor was Cara Friesen Marrs, sister of the bride and best man was Randall Goodroe, brother of the groom.
Bridesmaids were Kellie Wright, Jennifer Maxwell and Joanna Hupp.
Flower girl was Annie Friesen, cousin of the bride.
Groomsmen were Matt Wells, Jarrod Beddingfield and Greg Friesen, brother of the bride. Capt. Robert Goodroe, brother of the groom, served in absentia.
Ringbearer was Garrett David Goodroe, nephew of the groom.
Ushers were Heath Marrs, brother-in-law of the bride, Josh Friesen, cousin of the bride and Kirk Friesen, brother of the bride.
Pianist was Donna Keenen; organist was Donna Turner; trumpeters were Steve Humphrey and Thomas Worley; and vocalists were pastor Don Hansen, Trisha Rein and Greg Friesen.
The reception was hosted by the bride’s parents at the church’s family life center.
The bride is a graduate of Tabor College with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and physical education. She is employed as a teacher at Mayfield Workman Junior High School in Arlington, Texas.
The groom is a graduate of Clemson University with a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering. He is currently pursuing a master’s of divinity degree at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.
The couple honeymooned in Jamaica.
A rehearsal party was given by the groom’s parents at the Phelps House in Carthage.
The couple resides in Fort Worth, Texas.
