WEDDINGS: Krause, Oelke wed July 28 in Overland Park

Deborah Lynn Krause and Philip Jonathan Oelke were married July 28 at 2 p.m. at the Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Overland Park.

Herman Kramer, the bride’s uncle, and Tom Krause, the bride’s father, officiated the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Tom and Miriam Krause of Overland Park. The groom is the son of Frank and Joan Oelke of Osborne.

Matron of honor was Beth Stein, sister of the bride. Best man was Frank Oelke, father of the groom.

Bridesmaids were Carisa Funk, Wendy Krause and Heather Krause. Flower girl was Anna Krause, niece of the bride.

Groomsmen were Bruce Daise, Tim Oelke and Dave Oelke. Ushers were Tim Krause, Matt Krause, Jon Stein and Billy Peterson.

The reception was held at Bethany Lutheran Church.

The bride received an undergraduate degree from Bethany College and graduate degree from Washburn University. She is employed as a school social worker with the Marion County Special Education Cooperative.

The groom received an undergraduate degree from Sterling College and a graduate degree from Emporia State University. He is employed as a middle school teacher and middle and high school coach in Hillsboro.

Following a honeymoon in Kenai Peninsula, Alaska, the couple resides in Hillsboro.
