Students in grades six through eight honored their country Friday noon by forming a human flag on the school grounds. The display of patriotism was the idea of teachers Sharon Loewen and Stephanie Sinclair. The two teachers sent home a note to parents asking children
to wear red, white or blue T-shirts for the day. Math teachers helped configure the flag’s dimensions, which were drawn with chalk on the pavement. HMS principal Evan Yoder said the project was successful and “memorable.”
