ORIGINALLY WRITTEN DR
Tabor College scored the first three points in Saturday night’s game against Bethany and the last 21 points of the game. Unfortunately, the Swedes scored 57 unaswered points in between to route the Jays 57-24.

Dylan Pohlman’s 22-yard field goal with 9:53 left in the first half gave Tabor its only lead, 3-0. By the time Tabor scored again, this time on a beautiful 74-yard touchdown strike from David Hernandez to Tyson Ratzlaff on the first play of the fourth quarter, the game was long over. Bethany was leading 57-3 at the time after posting a 37-3 halftime margin.

Also scoring for Tabor were Matt Insley, who ran a blocked punt back for a touchdown with 8:27 left in the game, and Hernandez, who ran the ball in from two yards out with 3:39 to play.

With the loss, Tabor drops to 1-1 in KCAC play and 2-1 overall.
