Tabor downs Bethel 42-28

The Tabor College Bluejays used a balanced attack to defeat the Bethel College Threshers 42-28 Saturday night.



The Bluejays jumped out on the Threshers early in the first quarter 21-7.



But in the second quarter the Threshers added two touchdowns and TC added one making the score 28-21 going into the lockerroom at half.



In the third, Tabor connected on two touchdowns to counter Bethel’s one touchdown giving the Bluejays a 42-28 advantage that would stick to close out the game.



Quarterback Willie Lopez led the Bluejay offense going 21-32 for 377, with three touchdowns and one interception.



The Bluejays are 2-0 on the year and 1-0 in the conference.



They travel to Lindsborg next Saturday to do battle with the Bethany College Swedes.
