WEDDINGS: Rosfeld, Bartel exchange vows

Sheri Rosfeld and Alex Bartel, both of Manhattan, were married at 3 p.m. on July 21, at the Koerner Heights Church in Newton with pastor Mark Isaac officiating the double ring ceremony.


The bride is the daughter of Don and Mary Rosfeld of Goessel. The groom is the son of Stanley and Myrna Bartel of Manhattan.


The bride was escorted by her father and carried a bouquet of roses and wildflowers.


The church was decorated with candles, white lights, greenery and a bouquet of roses in memoriam.


Maid of honor was Kristi Unruh, sister of the bride. Best man was Brandon Unruh, friend of the groom.


Bride’s attendants were Julie O’Connor, cousin of the bride, and Kerry Rosfeld, brother of the bride.


Groom’s attendants were Jon Epler, friend of the groom, and Amy Bartel, sister of the groom. Ringbearer was Mark Schmidt.


Flower girls were Ashley Davis, Anna Davis, Emma Jost and Elizabeth Jost, all of Wichita.


Ushers were Melvin Rosfeld, Jonathan Bartel, David Bradford and Scott Rosfeld.


Candlelighters were Brent O’Connor and Erin Rosfeld.


Jo Ann Nickel and Jennifer Regier were the pianists. Dawn Keller was the flutist and singers were Mandy Jiran-Adams, Melissa Funk, Jake Funk, Hwan Kim, Michelle Matthews, Mervyn Hammond and Kris Jones.


Guestbook attendants were Lynette Bender and Tracy Isaac.


Scripture readers were pastor Richard Gehring and pastor Barbara Krehbiel Gehring, both of Manhattan.


Gift carriers were Mike Jakabosky, Kimberly Schmidt and Heather Bradford.


Wedding hostess was Delores Rosfeld and wedding coordinator was Julie Funk.


A reception followed the ceremony at 4 p.m. at the church. Hosts were the parents of the bride and groom. Reception assistants were Rod and Karen Franz, Tammie Allen, Debbie Jakabosky, Terry Bartel and Kathleen Thimm.


The bride is a 1992 graduate of Goessel High School and a 1996 graduate of Tabor College. She is employed as a music teacher at Junction City High School.


The groom is a 1993 graduate of Manhattan High School and is currently attending Kansas State University.


The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at 7 p.m. on July 20 at the Breadbasket Restaurant in Newton.


The couple honeymooned in Wichita and reside in Manhattan.
