Megan Jacks and Lucius Duerksen were married at 5:30 p.m. June 16 in the home of the groom’s parents.
Pastor Corey Miller officiated the double-ring ceremony.
Parents of the couple are Cecil and Brenda Jacks of Wichita and Londell and LeNora Duerksen of Goessel.
Matron of honor was Lanna Roby of Wichita. Best man was Lyndl Duerksen of Goessel.
Bridesmaids were Laura Kendall of Winfield, Julie Parsons of Pittsburg, Teresa Lynn and Kate Golubski, both of Topeka, and Alana Milne of Shawnee.
Groomsmen were Logan Duerksen and Jared Jost, both of Hillsboro, and Cory Unruh, Scott Rosfeld and Kyle Funk, all of Goessel.
The flower girl was Chelsea Klassen of Casper, Wyo., and ring bearer was Braden Roby of Wichita.
The bell ringer was Anne Wharton of Wichita and the scripture reader was April Gomez of Topeka.
Ushers were Bryan Roby of Wichita, Matt and Andrew Jost of Hillsboro and John Sperry of Hesston.
David Baker of Hillsboro sang “I Was Meant to Be With You,” and he lead the congregation in singing “For the Beauty of the Earth.”
Following the ceremony, a reception was held inside the Duerksens’ home because of weather conditions.
The bride graduated with a bachelor’s degree in education from Washburn University in May. She is teaching third grade at Scott Magnet School in Topeka.
The groom is attending Kansas State University and plans to graduate in December 2002. He is a seasonal park ranger at Milford Lake.
The couple took a honeymoon to Beaver Lake in Arkansas.
They live in Manhattan.
