WEDDINGS: Fuqua, Flaming exchange vows

ORIGINALLY WRITTEN
Amy Lynn Fuqua of Inman and Patrick Alan Flaming of Goessel were married June 15 at 7 p.m. at the Bethel Mennonite Church in Inman with pastor Michael Knowles officiating.


The bride is the daughter of Max and Sandra Fuqua of Inman. The groom is the son of Pete and Marilyn Flaming of Goessel.


Maid of honor was Karen Fuqua of Inman. Best man was Matt Flaming of Goessel.


Bridesmaids were Megan Schmidt of Goessel and Melanie Krehbiel of Moundridge. Flower girl was Kyndra Fuqua of Hesston.


Groomsmen were Treg Duerksen of Goessel and Todd Zerger of Newton. Ring bearer was Jensen Kingsley of Newton.


Children presenting flowers to the parents of the couple were Aimee Flaming of Goessel, Alyssa Issacs of Andover, Hayden Woods of Wichita and Josh Doerksen of Inman.


Ushers were Brandon Fuqua of Inman, Casson Schmidt of Goessel, Dave Baker of Hillsboro, Nate Ashley of Wichita, Lane Brown of Lawrence and Landon Brown of Denver, Colo.


Jason Peters of Goessel was the pianist and musician, along with Dave Baker, Jim Ostlund of Moundridge and Kelly Stucky of Hesston. Guestbook attendants were Lindsay Anderson of Hutchinson and Krisha Zerger of Newton.


A reception followed the ceremony in the church’s Fellowship Hall. Hosts were Dewayne and Betty Pauls of Newton and Dale and Dawn Froese of Inman.


The bride is a 1998 graduate of Inman High School and will be completing her degree in elementary education at Bethel College in December. The groom is a 1996 graduate of Goessel High school and a 2000 graduate of Bethel College. He is employed as a nurse at Prairie View Inc. in Newton.


The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner June 14 at Crosswinds Conference Center in Hesston.
