DEATHS: Mildred Suffield, 85

Mildred “Millie” E. Suffield, 85, a homemaker, died July 15 in Newton.


The funeral was July 18 at Zeiner Funeral Home in Marion. Pastor Bill Sherfy of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Marion officiated. Burial was at Claney Cemetery in rural Marion.


She was born Sept. 27, 1915, to Diechrick and Susie Ubben in Auburn, Neb. On June 30, 1932, she was married to Lloyd J. Suffield, who predeceased her in 1985.


She is survived by three sons, David Suffield of Lincolnville, Gerald Suffield of Sublette and Ed “Butch” Suffield of Peabody; three daughters, Wilma Hybsha and Linda Olsen, both of Newton, and Juanita Birkle of Marion; four sisters, Ruth Chance of Iowa, Georgia Lalouette and Aliene Anderson, both of Florence, and Rena Tophan of Fredonia.


A memorial has been established with Central Homecare and Hospice.
