Kaufman, Johnson exchange vows

Denille Lynnae Kaufman and Joshua Todd Johnson were married May 26 at 7 p.m. at the Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church, with pastor Bruce Porter officiating the double-ring ceremony.


Parents of the couple are Kim and Delora Kaufman of Hillsboro and Richard and Ora Fay Johnson of Rose Hill.


Kara Chisholm, cousin of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Keli Chisholm, cousin of the bride, and Carlene Nickel, friend of the couple. Flower girls were Krista Reimer and Bailey Kaufman, cousins of the bride.


Richard Johnson, father of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Jay Johnson and Jordan Johnson, brothers of the groom. Ring bearer was Tyson Reimer, cousin of the bride.


Candlelighters were Caitlin Reimer and JuliAnne Chisholm. Ushers were Jesse Kaufman, Peder Moluf and Joe Albright. Guestbook attendant was Sharol Warner, and gift carriers were Dakota Kaufman, Maggie Sitton and Kelly Sitton.


The bride wore a white, sleeveless A-line satin gown with a chapel length train, square neckline, quarter-inch wide straps and covered buttons down the back.


The fingertip length veil was topped with a tiara, adorned with pearls and rhinestones in the design of flowers on ivy. The tulle had pearls sewn into the underside with a satin-edged finish.


She carried a round bouquet of sterling and white roses. Purple, white and silver chosen by the bride were used throughout the evening.


Cake and punch were served at the candlelight reception that followed the ceremony.


The bride is a 1998 graduate of Hillsboro High School. She is a senior at Kansas State University pursuing a degree in general management.


The groom is a 1996 graduate of Rose Hill High School and 2001 graduate in marketing at Kansas State University. He is employed by Payless Shoes Source World Headquarters as a corporate management associate and merchandise distribution analyst.


The couple spent a week in Oahu, Hawaii, for their honeymoon.


A K-State-themed rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom’s parents, was served in Kim and Delora Kaufman’s backyard by caterer Cheryl Jost.


The couple resides at 3129 Lundin Drive, Apt. 10, in Manhattan.
