Eden, Smith wed at outdoor ceremony

Jessica Rashelle Eden and Morgan Daniel Smith of Manhattan were married June 16 in a double-ring ceremony in the backyard at the home of the bride’s parents at 116 W. Third St. in Peabody. Pastor Rodger Charles officiated.


Parents of the couple are Delbert and Linda Eden of Peabody and Robert and Katherine Smith of Davenport, Wash.


Alison Eden of Peabody, sister of bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Chanel Bryant of Wichita, cousin of bride, and Katie McDaniel of Manhattan, friend of bride.


Brian Wishard of Manhattan was best man. Groomsmen were Ross Jones and Michael Stacy, also of Manhattan.


Flower girl was Mariah Downey of Wichita, ring bearer was Austin Downey of Wichita, both cousins of the bride. Sheena Kingan of Manhattan served as guest-book attendant.


Ushers were Douglas Eden of Peabody, brother of the bride; Brett Keith of Mapleton, Ill., cousin of the bride; and Kirk Downey of Wichita, uncle of the bride.


The reception at the home following the wedding was hosted by Marsha Keith of Mapleton, Ill., and Mary Downey of Wichita, both aunts of the bride.


A wedding trip was taken to Kansas City.


The bride is a 1998 graduate of Peabody-Burns High School and is employed at Early Edition Restaurant in Manhattan.


The groom is a 1995 Manhattan High School graduate and is employed by Concord Hospitality Inc. of Manhattan.


They are both studying hotel and restaurant management.


The rehearsal dinner was held June 15 at the Coneburg Inn in Peabody.


The couple resides in Manhattan.
