DEATHS: Opal V. Haworth, 94

Opal V. Haworth, 94, homemaker, former waitress and grocery clerk, died June 30 at Shiloh Manor Nursing Home in Canton.


The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, at the First Baptist Church in Canton with pastor Ernest Clark officiating. Burial will be in Canton Township Cemetery.


She was born Dec. 8, 1906, to William Boyd and Bessie Lee Farris McGill in Renfrow, Okla. On March 15, 1926, she was married to George Elwood Haworth, who predeceased her in 1986.


She is survived by a son, Lloyd Haworth of Canton; a daughter, Audrey Humphries of Salina; a sister, Maxine Ebert of Blackwell, Okla.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.


Memorials have been established with Canton Senior Center, First Baptist Church and Shiloh Manor Nursing Home, all of Canton.
