ANNIVERSARIES: Freemans celebrate 50th anniversary

Ronald and Rosemary Freeman of Hillsboro will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at the Raymond Frye complex in Wellington in connection with a family reunion Sunday, June 24.


Their children and 14 grandchildren will host the celebration, which will include a renewal of vows and a video presentation featuring photos from the couple’s early lives and their 50 years together.


Ronald Freeman and Rosemary Carlton was married June 24, 1951, in Caney.


He was employed by the Singer Sewing Machine Co. for a time, and later worked as an aircraft instrument technician in Wichita for many years, retiring in January 1997.


She is a homemaker and writer, and has been employed as secretary for their church and for a mission organization in which they served for a time.


They have one daughter and three sons, Rhonda Gilbert and husband Robert of Chattanooga, Tenn.; Ronald W. and wife Marilyn of La-Verne, Calif.; Rob and wife Theresa of Newton; and Randall and wife Linda of Marion, Ind.
