Senior Scribbles

A video, “Aircraft and Aviation in Kansas,” will be viewed at the Senior Center after lunch on Thursday, May 7.

Topics ranging from Amelia Earhart to the aviation industry in Wichita are covered in this presentation.

“Colon and Rectal Cancer” is the subject of the video program scheduled at the Center on Monday, May 11. It will be shown following the meal.

The Mothers and Fathers Day Meal will be held at the Center on May 13 at noon. Be sure to sign up now. Dave Clark will bring a musical program.

Those who volunteered their time at the Center last week were:

Kitchen: Irma Koop, Irma Groening, Judy Malin, Erma Pankratz, Elaine Leppke and Betty Bernhardt.

Meal drivers: Elgin Bartel and Velber Bevan.

FISH transportation: Dave Classen, Ethel Bartel, Irene Seibel and Gladys Schmidt.

Oven fried chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, peas, whole wheat rolls, pineapple and banana jello.

Meat loaf, baked potato, spinach or tomato casserole, whole wheat roll, peaches.

Salisbury steak and gravy, baked potato, green beans/pimento, whole wheat roll, blushing pears.

Chicken salad, potato soup, corn/green peppers, wheat bread or crackers, apricots.

Roast beef, mashed potatoes with gravy, breaded tomatoes, banana muffin, fruit cocktail.
