The Tabor College men’s tennis team swept Kansas Wesleyan, 9-0, Thursday, in Hillsboro.
All but one match went the minimum two sets and the closet set was 6-4 as the Bluejays rolled over the Coyotes.
Tabor won all six singles matches in straight sets. Tyler Brown, Mark Breeden, James Fisher, Ryan Camping, Nate Wienandt and Paul Raugust all cruised to easy wins.
The No. 1 doubles battle between Tabor’s Brown and Breeden and Wesleyan’s Yoshii and Tripp went three sets, but Camping and Scott Friesen and Fisher and Wienandt both won their respective matches in two-game sweeps.
The Bluejays had a tougher time against Pratt Community College last Tuesday, but came away with a 5-4 win team victory.
Brown and Breeden lost in No. 1 and No. 2 singles and again as the No. 1 doubles team. Wienandt also lost in No. 5 singles.
Claiming wins for Tabor were Fisher, Camping and Raugust (by default) in singles, and Camping-Friesen and Wienandt-Fisher in doubles play.
The Bluejays hosted Central Christian on Monday as a final tuneup before the KCAC tournament on Friday and Saturday in Wichita.
