Alvin and Aldene (Matz) Martens of Lehigh will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 6, at the city building in Lehigh.
The Martens were married April 28, 1951, by pastor K. E. Juengel in the parsonage of the Zion Lutheran Church in Hillsboro.
Alvin Martens retired from Lehigh Coop Grain and Supply in 1976. Aldene Marten retired from Sterling Drug-now Abbott Laboratories-of McPherson in 1987.
Hosts for the celebration will be their children and grandchildren, Rita and Steve Prieb and family of McPherson and Gayland Martens of Anchorage, Alaska.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend. The couple requests no gifts.
