EDITORIAL: Quality is significant

ORIGINALLY WRITTEN DON RATZLAFF
Congratulations are in order for the accomplishments of the Tabor College men’s basketball team and the girls’ team from Hillsboro High School. Both squads reached the pinnacle tournament in their sport. The Tabor men competed at the NAIA Division II national tournament in Branson, Mo., and the HHS girls competed in the Class 3A state tournament in Hutchinson.

Neither team achieved what they dreamed of achieving when they qualified to participate. Their fans were disappointed, too, with early losses. But, lest we lose perspective, qualifying for these prestigious tournaments is a significant accomplishment in its own right.

Way to go, Coach Don Brubacher at Tabor and Coach Becky Carlson at HHS. You and your players have made us proud…again.
