Dorothy Hajek, 77, Marion, died Jan. 21 at Via Christi St. Joseph Campus, Wichita. She was a retired dairy and poultry farmer and housewife.
The funeral mass will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, at St. Mark’s Church of Holy Family Parish, Marion, with Father Steve Gronert officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s cemetery, Tampa.
The rosary will be 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, at the Zeiner Funeral Home, Marion.
She was born Jan. 3, 1924 to Florian and Catherine Rollmen Feik in Ordway, Colo. On Nov. 17, 1947, she was married to Paul Hajek at Las Animas, Colo. He predeceased her on Dec. 7, 1998.
She is survived by a son, Mark Hajek of Marion; two daughters, Pauline Holub and Audrey McLinden, both of Marion; two sisters, Ruth Weigel of Wichita and Catherine Weigel of Connecticut. There are nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
A memorial fund has been established for the Diabetes Association.
