All January birthdays are invited to the Senior Center to celebrate on noon, Monday, Jan. 29. The video, “Kansas Diary” will be shown following the meal to honor our state on Kansas Day.


Games, gab, and goodies are on the schedule at the Center for Wednesday, Jan. 31. Bring friends and games and enjoy a snack at 3 p.m.


Dr. Layne Reusser will be our luncheon guest at the Center on Friday, Feb. 2. After the meal he will speak on heart health care issues.


In addition, tax help will be available that day from 10 a.m. to noon, and from 1-4 p.m.. The assistance is free of charge and will continue on Tuesdays and Fridays until April 15th. No appointment is necessary. Liz Ryding is the VITA tax volunteer.


Those who volunteered their time at the Senior Center last week were:


Kitchen: Gladys Jantz, Velda Hiebert, Irma Koop, Irma Groening, Judy Masin, Verna Funk, Aileen Miller, Darlene Matz, and Mariann Unruh.


Meal drivers: Don Harding and Paul Ediger.


FISH transportation: Art Unrau, Liz Ryding, Eldon Knak, and Helen Fadenrecht.
