DEATHS: Donald W. Krause

Donald Wayne Krause, 67, Hillsboro, died Dec. 11 at the Hillsboro Community Medical Center. He was a retired salesman for plumbing supplies at Baker Manufacturing in Hutchinson.


The funeral service was Saturday, Dec. 18 at the First Mennonite Church, Hillsboro, with Ken Peterson officiating. Burial was at the Haven of Rest Cemetery, rural Hillsboro.


Krause was born April 28, 1933, to Frank Krause and Minnie Jost in Hillsboro. He married Martha Patzer on July 28, 1980, in Hillsboro, who survives.


He is also survived by sons Scott Wayne and Douglas Franklin Krause, both of Shawnee; step-sons Brian Klassen, Wichita; Robert Klassen, Irving, Texas; Daniel Klassen, Casper, Wyo.; and step-daughters LeNore Duerksen, rural Goessel and Rebecca Morris, Hillsboro; and one brother, Frank Krause Jr. of Lawrence. There are three grandchildren and nine step-grandchildren.
