Pianist Lucia Unrau to perform locally

ORIGINALLY WRITTEN
Pianist Lucia Unrau, a Bethel College alum, will return to Bethel for a benefit concert at 7:30 p.m., Monday, Dec. 18, in Krehbiel Auditorium/Fine Arts Center.

Proceeds from an offering taken at the concert will go to the community’s annual Harvest of Love food drive.

This fall, Unrau and her husband, composer Peter Terry, released two new CD recordings of hymns for piano.

Unrau and Terry work at Bluffton (Ohio) College, where she is professor of music and he is director of instructional technology.

Unrau will also perform 7 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 17, at the Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church, rural Goessel. Offerings taken there will benefit Joyful Noise Child Care, a joint effort of the Goessel area churches.

She will also perform 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, at Tabor College, Hillsboro. Offerings taken there will benefit Hillsboro’s Main Street Ministries, a women’s shelter service.
