ORIGINALLY WRITTEN
The Goessel Ministerial Alliance and Citizens State Bank are sponsoring a “Christmas Giving Tree” to help with Christmas expenses for families in financial need.
The sponsors are asking parents who feel they could provide some assistance with Christmas expenses to fill out an application.
People outside of families who are aware of children’s needs should also fill out an application.
Applications will be available at the Goessel, Tabor and Alexanderwohl Mennonite churches, the Goessel Elementary School office and the Citizens State Bank.
All applications must be turned in by Friday, Dec.8, to any of the churches or in a sealed envelope marked “Christmas Giving Tree” at the Citizens State Bank.
Each child whose name is turned in will receive a tag on the tree with their age, gender, and gift description. Names of the children will not be included on the tag.
Tags will be available on the tree at the bank by Saturday, Dec. 9. All gifts should be brought back to the bank by Friday, Dec. 22. Gifts should be wrapped. Bank personnel will assist with the “checking in” process. The gifts will be delivered by the Ministerial Alliance Dec. 23.
