Vaughn Jost of Ebenfeld Mennonite Brethren Church, leads the contemporary worship gathering held prior to the traditional community Thanksgiving service Sunday evening. At the traditional service, Shawn Winter talked about his experience with God while undergoing life-threatening brain surgery a little more than a year ago. Food and money were once again raised for the work of the Hillsboro Area Ministerial Alliance, which sponsored the service at the Hillsboro High School gym.
