Mil Penner, well-known Kansas landscape photographer and guidebook author, will be the featured speaker at the Learning in Retirement Program, 10:10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 30 in the Wohlgemuth Music Education Center at Tabor College, Hillsboro.
The Thanksgiving program, “Kansas Bounty: A Visual Feast,” will feature Penner’s brilliant photos from across the state. Marie Wiens, Hillsboro, will complete the session with thoughts on Thanksgiving.
Penner is is known for cowriting several books about exploring the back roads of the Sunflower State. Among them are Kansas Journeys, Prairie: The Land and Its People, and the Kansas Weekend Guide series. He cofounded the Kansas Sampler Foundation with his daughter, Marci Penner.
Older adults are invited to this ninth session of the fall series. There is a “single session” fee of $3 but persons who have never attended before are invited to come as guests, free of charge.
