Parkview mission series to conclude

The last in the five-part Mission Emphasis Series for the Parkview Church will be Sunday, Nov. 12.



Guest speaker for the morning service will be Ron Penner, personnel director for Mennonite Brethren Missions and Services International in charge of recruitment and training of new missionaries and “pastor” to the 115 resident MBMSI missionaries around the world.



Penner and his wife are Tabor graduates, and Ron has a Master’s of Divinity degree from Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary in Fresno, Calif.. and a Master’s degree in Missiology from Fuller School of World Mission.



They have been involved in church-planting ministries most of their lives, including 12 years in Spain. They also spent more than five years in Mexico as pastoral resource workers to the Mennonite Brethren churches there.



The evening service will be the banquet held at 6 p.m. in the Parkview Church activity center.



The menu is mission potluck. Deborah Kroeker will be sharing mission experiences and Penner will be the guest speaker. Music will be provided by Terry Bebermeyer.
