Northview plans information meetings

ORIGINALLY WRITTEN
Northview Developmental Services will have a series of informational meetings targeted to those interested in learning more about the system that delivers community support services to developmentally disabled individuals in the Harvey and Marion County area.

These forums will be held on a quarterly basis and anyone is invited to attend. The format will include a 60-minute presentation by Northview staff or a guest on a topic or issue of interest. A question-and-answer session will follow.

The first forum will be held from 7-9 p.m., Monday, Nov. 13, at the Trinity Heights United Methodist Church, 1200 Boyd Avenue, Newton.

Stan Zienkewicz, NDS president, will start the series by addressing how developmentally disabled people work in area communities.

Other topics to be covered include a review of the organizational changes at Northview and its committee structure; acquiring services, system funding, and the prospect of waiting lists in the future.

The public is invited.
