Prairie market set for Nov. 7 in Marion

ORIGINALLY WRITTEN
The Marion Eastmoor United Methodist Church will host a Chuckwagon and Prairie Market from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 7.

The event will be in the Wesley Family Center. A western theme will feature the chuckwagon in the center with bales of hay all around and classic country music in the background.

One-of-a-kind wares will be situated around the large room for early Christmas shoppers and those looking for new and unique ideas for gifts.

Little “shops” will include the Gingerbread Haus featuring gingerbread houses, Noah’s Ark, cookies and perhaps a gingerbread creche.

Other items are wood carvings of different Christian symbols; a “Sweet Corner” with candy, spiced pecans, cakes, cookies and muffins; a shop with greeting cards, cards with Scriptures, ceramics, pewter, and brass door knockers; many crocheted and other handmade items.

A silent auction will feature a large teddy bear.

Proceeds from the craft, gift and food items will go to the Eastmoor’s building fund and the proceeds from the chuckwagon will go for the designated missions of the Eastmoor United Methodist Women.
