Phoebe Gertrude Wiebe Jost Glanzer, 77, Freeman, S.D., died Oct. 5 in Freeman. She was a retired nurse and former resident of Hillsboro.
She was born Aug. 31, 1923, to Henry D. and Gertrude Klaassen Wiebe in Corn, Okla.
On Aug. 30, 1949, she was married to Franklyn Jost, who predeceased her.
On March 23, 1985, she was married to Jacob E. Glanzer, who survives.
She is also survived by two sons, Franklyn “Lynn” and wife Donna of Hillsboro, and Walton and wife Myrna of Olathe; one daughter, Elaine and husband Gene Stangohr of Newton; two stepsons, Jules Glanzer and wife Peggy of Houston, and Elgin Glanzer and wife Sheree of Abilene; two brothers, Joel and wife Lucille of Fresno, Calif., and James of Fresno; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Wiebe of Fresno; six grandchildren and five step-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established in her name for Tabor College and for the Salem Mennonite Brethren Church near Bridgewater, S.D.
