DEATHS: Irvin D. Dirks, 92

Irvin D. Dirks, 92, Hillsboro, died Oct. 27 at the Hillsboro Community Medical Center Long Term Care Unit. He was a retired farmer.



The funeral was Oct. 30 at the Central Heights Mennonite Church, rural Tampa, with Don Klassen and Bruce Dirks officiating. Burial was at the Peace Valley Cemetery, rural Tampa.



He was born July 21, 1908, to Isaac Dirks and Rachel Koehn in Tampa. On June 17, 1931, he was married to Margaret Unruh, who predeceased him in 1998.



He is survived by a son, Richard of Tampa; two daughters, Joan Donahue of Lincolnville and Theresa Remers of Hillsboro; two brothers, Tobias Dirks of Hillsboro and Melvin Dirks of Lehigh; two sisters, Hannah Koehn of Montezuma and Martha Unruh of Lehigh; nine grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.



Memorials have been established at Central Heights Mennonite Church or Hillsboro Community Medical Center Long Term Care Unit.
