Sprint has made a $1,500 contribution to upgrade the nurse call system for long-term care patients at the Hillsboro Community Medical Center.

The system is used by patients to call nurses when they need assistance in their rooms. The upgrade is needed to ensure the continued reliability of the system.

“We are very pleased to have the resources to upgrade our nurse call system,” said Mike Ryan, HCMC administrator. “I thank Sprint for its willingness to make this important investment in our medical center and in our community. I also thank the mayor for coming up with the idea to work with Sprint for this funding.”

“I truly appreciate Sprint’s involvement in the community,” said Hillsboro Mayor Delores Dalke. “We certainly hope this serves as a model for other businesses to be involved in supporting the medical center and other important community projects.”
